As i mentioned in previous post, i volunteered myself to help my buddies whom are taking the “sadal” kavadees… i wont say its a noble sacrification but its just a matter of friendship and devotion towards god and mankind.
By now, i am sure most of us would have known the differences of thaipusam in Bt Caves from the previous years. i was shocked to see pretty quiet & empty streets on the eve of thaipusam where you will never be able to walk but being pushed to the destination on the past years. but this year, we were dancing and able to walk in the middle of the street along with chariot which my friend, segar pulled with hook on his bare body (check out the pics)…I would thank HINDRAF to teach Dato WalKING and Dato God such a good lesson.
Batu caves committee had even setup a massive fireworks session at sharp 12am with some concert as well.
Another scenario which i heard from another friend of mine was there was a bunch of guys in the cave temple at approx 3am trying to shout and stop people from donating to the temple and i heard (not sure how far is that true) that Bt Caves is not taking a single cent for the milk pot archanai. hmmm, good progress huh…our people had moved up a level of thinking where we just dont eat, sleep, meet, mate and die but eat, sleep, meet, mate, think and die…something to be proud of the lil achievement.but my personal 2 cents is, no matter what we do, please do with rationale, dont react because others do so. Spend a couple of minute to think and justify the information that you’d just read or heard genuine and make sense. Move as a smart indian not being moved by smart indians like how it happened for the past 50 years.
Below,i had uploaded some of the pics where my macha’s paying back their vow to Lord Muruga completing their 48 days strict vegetarian fast.
