Smashing Gathering with All Malaysian Bloggers Project

Now i know how it feels and to what level of the excitement i can have in bloggers gathering. Thanks to AllMalaysianBloggers Project’s to have the Smashing Gathering on 14th June at outpost cafe, Cineleisure Damansara.

The main organiser of the event was AMBP joint with The Star Online and Cinema Online. The organiser managed to invite few speaker to share their blogging experience and they are :

3. Aizuddin Danian = http://www.aizuddindanian.com/
5. Rohan Thomas e-mail blog url: http://blogs.msdn.com/rohant

In short, if you wanna read more about the information please visit TheStar , Cinema Online or join here.

Well it’s time to share my 2 cents here. I was kind of excited to participate such event as i mentioned previously, its the 1st of its kind to me. I even had been invited to join the MINDS blogger gathering but due to certain unavoidable circumstances, i didnt manage to be there. Well, when i reached the Smashing Gathering, I was shocked to see only one 2 indian guys. Well im not trying to be racist; one of the guy was the organiser and the other one was the speaker and me alone there, so you’ve got what i am trying to say?
I don’t know why the social awareness of blogging is lack in Indian community in Malaysia. I would say its the initiative and the involvement into certain In-things which benefits the community. I am not trying to do some politics over here using racial sentiments. It’s just that why Malaysian Indians socialize among their native ethnic themselves and make slow progress? Why don’t we mix around regardless of race, religion or gender and explore what the others gotta say and what the other side of the world has.
I remember reading somewhere that japan has the most numbers of bloggers in the world. If i would like to sort it according to the population, Japan is not even in the top 10 but i do really admire their positive attitude and involvement in innovation (not talking about their sex toy) and creativeness. I know I shouldn’t talk cock just after attending one gathering but i just feel like letting it go. No hard feelings yea….

  1. I was there. And embarassed to have a photograph of myself squatting there. LOL!

Anyway, you’re right. India is expanding to broader markets while Malaysians are still being Malaysians.

I know for a fact there are a number of Indian bloggers too. When I attended one of the forums, the general audience were Indians.

Maybe it was because news wasn’t widespread enough to the Indian bloggers. Either that, or they weren’t on Facebook.
