Recently, we had heard about a “polite gal” screwed the call center guy with all kinda flirthy words and insulted him badly. I don’t wish to further elaborate on this matter as it sold like hot cake on my blog here hehe.
People always think that whoever works in an environment that they need to answer the calls they are working in call center. Wrong! Call Centers are meant for level 0 users where they have 0 level technical knowledge where the agent has to educate them in proper way i.e. StreamyX, Helpdesk is more technical whereby most of the time the users will be a bit well verse with the techincal jargons and term and most of the time the agents will be able to troubleshoot the issue with giving them guidance via phone or remote troubleshooting tools. And Service Desk is more High End where by engineers will have more technical knowledge and they are expected to solve the issue on their end itself and service desk engineers doesn’t only handle calls but always emails and change request. And service desk environment is more like supporting their internal customers.
I know this pretty well because i was from the service desk environment as well. It’s pretty irritating when people ask you where you work and you tell them service desk engineer and they will give the “looking-down-at-u” kinda look and say ooohh call center a? hey u dumb fcuk who cant even diffrenciate what is call center and servicedesk, stop rating on us, allright. What i am trying to say is never look down at others job and mind you, im not mocking on the call center staff or the job nature. Infact, call center agents are more proffesional in handling customers as the users are always losers who think they are hell of great and i hate Mahatma Gandhi for saying “Customer is Always RIGHT!”, argh fuck that tag line larr”
The Government should come up with a law as illustrated below:

you may right. but, sometimes the call center ppl will irritate us too. like last time, i called streamyx about 5 times for same reason(complain). They r thinking all their customers are it prof. but y dont they think from the customers position. when i asked dem something finally they said “my laptop corrupted by virus”. i was a bit confused and hang up the phone with THANK YOU!
then i check out with my neighbours and my sis in law. all of them facing same problem. i got so angry and i called back and screw dem, “takkan one whole PD ppl’s lappy got virus?? ” then they appologies and check out the problem. and my internet start work as normal in an hour.
so whose fault in this case. NOTHING IS PERFECT IN THIS WORLD EXCEPT PERFECT. 😀

Nice jokes.Working in this kind of enviroment is hard. You have to be in someone else’s shoe to feel what they are feeling. To all those who are working in call centers, helpdesk and service desk, I salute you for your patience. Happy Deepavali to everyone.
Hi frens..would like to share my previous experience as a Customer Service Rep in Streamyx helpdesk for almost 2 yrs…its true tat the service is quite bad* n u knw we human wont be satisfied eventhough they give us the best service ever..heheh… BUT….we definately cant say tat the customer service reps r not helpfull enuff..its jus the source given to them is limited..they cant advise more with their own knowledge cos tis will effect their KPI ( Performance Allowance).. even i’ve kena few times cos go n advise user more than wat we required to do..On the other side,after the complaint been sent to the technicians…this fellas (Technician) will nvr attend it on time..at last again the 0 level support became as a mangsa..
So…its all depend on the higher level management to improve the whole service ( higher level to 0 level) in order to give us a good customer service…

anyway..nice post..i hv experienced worst then this especially during my working life in NZ…gosh..there was once a lady called and asked how to insert the CD,,,i was explaining to her in and out..she still dun get it..she said,,there isn’t any drive on her pc to insert the CD…hemm finnaly i tried other method..and u knw what she said..” ooo dats the CD drive, i thought its our cup/mug holder”…LOL wat the (&&$%#^$@$#%…how in the world can she think the CD drive is a cup/ mug holder..dis is nt ur car Ma’am…

How ppl look at our service desk job?Y ppl think customer service job is so cheap? But actually those who thinks that way..they have no idea how actually customer service and service desk works.
