Boycott friendster, Go for Facebook.

Guys, this is not a chain email like those saying you will get money if you forward this email and this is not the “friendster closing down soon” warning whereby they will be closing down friendster if you don’t forward those stupid message out.

The last I checked my friendster was 2 days ago and i couldn’t manage to get in due to some maintenance issue. This maintenance shit happens almost everyday from certain period of time like middle of the night or early in the morning and it will be up and running after a few hours. But this time, the down time was lil bit too much and the result is I LOST MY 400 + friends!!! THIS IS INSANE!!! Farking out of mind.!!

I got up this morning where my lappies was by my side, connected to my “super fast” Maxis Broadband, browsing through some of the essential site which i access on hourly daily basis and before i go and get my fresh shower, i logged on to my friendster and WTF, my number of friends are 56, yes you didn’t see it wrong its FIFTY SIX!!! if i’m not mistaken it was 490 and its down to 56, that’s real ridiculous. Well, out of the 490 maybe 50 of them are those whom are my hi bye friends k, not those friends whom i don’t know to added on just for the sake of having the highest numbers of friends statistic.

Is this the kind of so called pathetic maintenance that the FRIENDSTER TEAM is doing? Aint it suppose to create the network among long lost friends? I had thanked friendster so much previously for bringing back all my long lost and almost no contact friends to me, but now it seems like YOU@Friendster had once again broke the network with my old friends, screw U!!

The only thing that i can be grateful is I’m on Facebook and i would say 50% of my friends from friendster are in my facebook friend list. But the thing is some of my beloved friends are real pain in the arse who keep saying that facebbok is too complicated with applications. Well, now that friendster has applications as well, why aren’t you guys backing from it.

Do you know that TIME magazine had an article about why Facebook is the future?And do you guys know that Facebook is predicted to be more scarier than Google? well dont ask me why google is scary, just go google why google is so, orite? The term scary doesn’t mean its no good, dont make up own assumption and stick to the friendster and keep losing your friends and get the blame from your friends that you had deleted them from your friendster account.

Trust me, once you get the hang of it, you will never turn back to friendster. To me, friendster is for those school and college teenagers who likes flowerish and bling bling comments with imeem or any media players running on their friendster profile page which scares the shit out of you when it tend to play the so called “fav music play list” real loud!!!

As a grown up, (ahemm, clears throat) yea grown ups, its time for a change. No point stick to a social networking site which has annoying pop up ads and consistent down time with their so called annoying maintenance to irritate your soul. If you wanna really have a good network with your friends and family or who so ever, please be wise and do the wise thing. “Be a Man, do the right thing” quote by Russel Peters from his standup comedy.

To most of you guys out there from Malaysia, saranx said that friendster is the most visited site and of course its a bit hard for some of you to live without it. How do i know? haha, been there done that. I used to be a friendster die hard fan too, the 1st thing i logged on to internet is the friendster and the last thing before log off is also friendster by giving a lst refresh hoping will there be any message from my previous reply. I dont deny that friendster had save many soul and spoilt numerous as well (i might write about the latter in a separate blog post), but now if you have a valid and solid reason to change, don’t you think you should?

I am sure you wouldn’t want what had happen to me to happen on you, advice your friends to move their ass’ to more reliable social networking platform, facebook! Tell them that you can do many things that you cant do in friendster and you can choose not to do what you don’t like i.e. accept annoying applications from friends. And tell them, here in facebook, you wont hear chain mail like “Mr Allan Smith, the CEO of friendster ask you to pass the message to everyone else you will be hex and cursed to have a bloated tummy caused by constipation, bla bla bla, WTF!!!”

So friends, here goes my humble request from me:

#1. Am I still in your friendster friend list?

#2. If not, please check am i in your facebook friends list.

#3. If yes, then i’m cool, if i’m not in both social networking site, please do only add me in friendster

#4. If you insist want to have friendster only, please go ahead and add me there, i value your friendship, if u add me back of course i will accept that.

Sorry guys, i don’t really have the time to find back all those 400+ friends whom are managed to gather in 4 years time. I’m not trying to be mean here but I’m really fed up with the loss. I consider that as one of my major lost as a netizen. SCREW YOU FRIENDSTER!!! Go Global, Go Facebook!!

p/s: Still having tiny hope that they will somehow restore back my previous friends list because i value my friends a lot!!

This post had been wrote with full of dissapointment and grudge towards friendster. Facebook didnt pay me single cent to promote their site except for providing excellent service at the moment.
