A hair academy has offered places for Indians to pursue fully-funded
\nhairstyling courses under the Human Resources Ministry\u2019s
\nTrain-and-Place programme.<\/p>\n
The course is initiated by Persatuan Pengusaha Jurugaya Rambut India
\nMalaysia (PPJ-RIM) and Akademi Antarabangsa Clipso (AAC).<\/p>\n
AAC director V. Logonathan said that Indians should seize the
\nopportunity to learn a trade and start their own business.<\/p>\n
The course to be conducted at AAC\u2019s premises in Petaling Jaya Old Town
\nis opened to all Malaysian Indians with SPM qualification aged 17 and
\nabove. Only 350 places are available.<\/p>\n
\u201cResponse has been good. We have 100 applicants and 80 of them have
\nstarted their training,\u201d Logonathan said.<\/p>\n
Registration is opened until May 15. Trainees would be given an
\nincentive of RM500 per month and free accommodation.<\/p>\n
Classes will be held five days a week and graduates will receive the
\nMalaysia Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 1 and 2 and AAC\u2019s Diploma in
\nArt and Science of Hairstyling.<\/p>\n
