Single strobe portraiture

As most of you guys aware of, I do cover mostly on event photography and lil bit on the travel snap shots. Recently I always have this thought to try out on strobist or studio lighting photography which i totally have no idea how to go about.

I did some research and read here and there to know where to start about. I asked few of my friends and they said better to take up course with the gurus 1st in order to master the lighting perfectly. But 1st thing 1st, I gotta get a remote flash trigger, then a flash stand with bracket +umbrella or a soft box. With this setting I will be able to do a remote single flash shoot, and if I wanna get those studio style photos, i might need a couple of flash light more or a studio lighting setup. So I got my phottix remote flash trigger and the light stand set (without umbrella as they are out of stock) Continue reading “Single strobe portraiture”

Tamron Lifestyle Snap Shot Seminar

I participated in this above mentioned seminar sometime like a month back and i wanted to show off the group photos that we took together among the participants but i couldnt find it. It was just parked on my messy desktop and i was only able to track it when i was doing spring cleaning after the C: drive left 1GB space and it was keep on hanging due to insufficient.

OK back to the topic,  I would like to thank the organisers for the wonderful gift pack which consist of a tamron t-shirt (the one all of us was wearing), a tamron printed towel, rm50 voucher, lens catalogue and lens cleaning cloth. On top of that, the valueable talk by the senior photographer uncle.

After the talk, we had a street photography competition which i couldn’t really participate due to some reason that i had to leave on that day. But i’m glad that atleast i am in the group photo.haha, so now, can you guys spot me?

Bokeh? I’m loving it!!

It’s been really long since i had been updated my blog and as usual my lame excuse would be BUSY BUSY and BUSY. No matter how lame the excuse can be, well that’s the truth nothing but the truth!

So for time being, maybe a simple pic to share here so that people will know that vickneswaran is not dead..hehe

I’m cloned!!

I used to live in “partial” denial that photos are not mandatory to be photoshop”ed”. A good photo should stand out by the original shot itself. But when time goes by, there this fact that no one can run away which is, the tools are meant for a purpose, so why don’t we utilize it. If photoshop is meant to destroy originality, there’s when photography ethics kicks in.

After this, I might start writing about my own personal experience that i wanna share with all of you guys which i gain through out the photography journey which i started some time back. Be it positive or negative, i would always love to hear from you guys, knowing me i’m very open to constructive comments, you can shoot me as u want, because i believe that peoples comment is the one makes me grow ( even though i’m not a pro yet)

Here i wanna show you a sample of a simple manipulation that i learned online. I though it takes some high level skill to get it done, but actually its even much simple that what i thought.

Cheers and please shoot me with your comments.
