How do I redirect my traffic?

Hmm its been approximately 26 hours up and running but i feel its still not completely complete. Tweaking here and there, the settings and the widgets, and not forgetting adjusting the alignment to look fine on both IE and Firefox (forget about opera and others, i will go crazy then). Yea, i am talking about my new blog on my new domain.

The lessons that I learned when switching from blogspot to standalone domain are really painful but to take it positively, i really gained some new experience hands on with CSS and php coding on WordPress.

  • Traffic / visitors volume

this is my main concern when i wanted to switch to vickneswaran.com. i was kind of paranoid to change because my normal visitor might quit check-in to my blog and it will definitely bring a big drop on my traffic, as it is the volume is not that high yet.

  • Re-registration with those affialiate programs and sponsor

My 1st cheque was from PayPerPost and now I need to register another new account because I’m not allowed to add another domain due to insufficient sponsored post, hmmm. And I need to go into my bookmark list and look for all those blog-portal like project petaling street, technorati, clickbank, advertlets and nuffnang and many more.

  • Advertising the new domain

I am definitely not a “advertising guy” who can come up with plenty of ideas to catch the attention of the public but I’m still learning how to make it BIG on advertising my site. Again, the main purpose of advertising is again for the traffic, traffic and more traffics. Now i need to go around login into my social networking sites like friendster and facebook to post shout outs and bulletin to boast about the new domain and new postings. Not forgetting to alert those whom are following me on twitter!!

Well, all i can do is keeping my fingers crossed and hope all my previous visitors to my blogsite will understand the simple redirection message that appears on the blogger.com site as below
